Rumor about pints being removed in the UK

I was just listening to the radio the other day, and the DJ was having a chat with some EU MP. They were talking about the Pint, and how it's the reason why the Brits drink so much.

It's ridiculous for them to assume that the pint is the reason people binge drink! Even if we got rid of the pint, people will just be buying 2 half pints and still getting just as drunk.

It'll be absurd if they go through and pass this silly ban. They need to start using our tax money on something that will actually make a difference...
